3rd Anniversary...

Hmm...  This is the 3rd year that I have been lucky enough to host the Mating Event of these two lovebirds...  No... Really...   I have pictures from the past 3 years of these two having "relations" on my carport or patio...   WTF??   And are these praying mantis' or stick bugs or what??   Anyone know???

Braves and Mares......

We, at South Jones, really, REALLY dislike West Jones...  It has been that way for as long as I can remember.   When I was in school the West Jones people were just farm folk, county folk...  Then the Laurel City schools were  taken over by minorities, the upper-class, wealthier city folk decided to move out to the county.. bringing more money and such to the farm school......which just made them SO much better than everyone else..   

We played West Friday night.  They picked us for their homecoming game... that was rude.  They are rude...  They beat us.. not because their team is better than ours.. they are not.. we were out-coached.  bottom line.   I say let's Friday Night Lights the next 2 games and coach ourselves....  See how that works.  Who knows?

Yes, I am mad that West beat us.. Yes, I am mad that they picked us for homecoming.  Yes, I hope we rip them a new asshole in baseball...  Oh - our band KILLED their band....KILLED THEM!!!

So...  the old gray mare keeps on trotting....  and after this year, I probably won't care what happens between the Brave and the Mare.....  But this year, it mattered.. Kids that I care deeply about were crushed with this loss, because they knew that they were better than them.  That REALLY makes me mad...  I don't like "my" kids feeling that way....  So.. on to baseball!!!  GO BRAVES!!!

This Weather...

So... this weather..  I kinda like it.. Gloomy, dreary, makes you think it is really cold outside then you take a step out there and BAM!  warm air...  

Oh well..

This weekend was good.   We went to Pass Christian Friday night to play football, ate at Trapani's in Bay  St Louis...VERY good.. highly recommend eating there!   

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day!  I worked in the yard with Morgan helping!  it was nice!   And my yard looks alot better...  it was looking pretty scraggly...

Sunday... a day of rest... tyler and i stayed up watching the Rays/Sox game and I ended up sleeping until noon... (so did he)...  then with the dreary, gloomy weather outside... I napped on the couch all afternoon (which is probably why I did not go to sleep until 4am this morning and have not been up for long... haha!!  But, it is getting me ready for my night shift tomorrow night!!  Yeah.. that is my excuse!

Lots of stuff going on in the next few weeks...   I work tues/wed/thurs, then we play West Jones Friday night...  I am nervous about that...  I have not expected a perfect season for the BRAVES but, if God could smile upon us for this ONE night and let us beat them........  it WOULD be a perfect season!   They beat Pass Christian last Friday night, so maybe....morale is up....  

Sister is coming home this weekend, too.   I am ready to see her!   She is dearly missed around here.  Her humor adds so much to all of our lives!  

The South Mississippi Fair rolls around Oct 16 - 25... means one thing to me... CORN DOGS!!!  I LOVE those corn dogs!   

So.. that is all I have going on right now...  life got so boring all of a sudden....but, it is my life and i like it...for right now!!!

Busy Weekend....

Well..  what a weekend~  well, what a WEEK!  

A new job...  that I really like.. reminds me alot of Houston (which is good).  I like the people, the computer charting, the unit, the house & people that I stay at..  The only thing I dislike is that there is NO internet..... that really sucks...  

Preparing for the Rummage Sale... including emptying out the storage building with all of Jay's stuff in it... wait... let me preface this by saying that I did all of this without sleep.....  

South Jones Homecoming....  Pep Rally, (more rummage sale prep), tail gating, football game (which we lost....but, who plays a district game for homecoming???), post game rummage sale preparations with a final bedtime of 2:30am and wake up call of 5am....

Rummage Sale day... Sweet Jesus...  got there at 6am and the rummagers all but helped us unpack our shit...  It was CRAZY!!!   But, we ended up selling about $600 worth of stuff...  and I have to admit it was kinda fun!   I love people..  Most of the time!!   I really enjoyed the time with Mom!  It was a good day!!!

Then finally....Saturday afternoon... a shower and nap!   I was hoping that the rest of the weekend would be stress-free...but, my ears became magnets for troubles...  troubles that I cannot even get into on here...  

so..as uneventful as this blog sounds... trust me, the weekend was NOT!!!  Now it is back to the Big Easy for more Big Money!! haha!!
